Boulder Beers

Hazed & Infused

This unfiltered dry-hopped ale is "hazed" in its natural state and "infused" with a Crystal and Centennial hop blend, creating a flavorful aromatic brew.
Mojo IPA
Pale in color but packed with flavor, MoJo reflects the perfect balance of hop bitterness and malt character. The unique Amarillo hop adds a slight citrus flavor to an ultra-crisp dry finish.
Sweaty Betty
Pours hazy, pale yellow with thin, fizzy white head; short retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is straw malt, banana, cloves, lemon, grassy hops, and light spice. Flavor is malt dominate with supporting fruit esters and faint hops; crisp finish. Light body with low carbonation and warmth.

Bottletree Beers

Belgian Blonde

Deep golden color with a nice cloudy finish. 1 inch of off white head with light lacing. Smell is of citrus and fruity malts. Perhaps a bit of spice and bread notes. A bit of hops on the finish. A decent amount of carbonation to compliment the citrus and malts for a good feel.

Imperial Red Ale
Poured red-orange with a half finger light tan head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, earth, caramel, earthy hop, and caramel hop. The flavor was of sweet malt, caramel, caramel hop, earth, earthy hop, and fruit. It had a medium feel on the palate with medium carbonation.

Blue Pants Beers

Black IPA

A dark IPA that marries the hoppiness of IPAs with the roasted smokeyness of a black ale.

Breeches ESB (will be on The J.Clyde Bier Engine)

ESBs are essentially more aggressive and more balanced Bitters, both in alcohol and hop character, but nothing overpowering. Color range will be similar, though leaning towards the darker end of the scale; dark golds to copper. Low carbonation. Malts tend to be more pronounced, often toasty and fruity, with maybe some notes diacetyl. And despite "bitter" being in its name, ESBs are not really all that bitter.

Corduroy Rye IPA

The brewer's website describes this beer as being 7% and 70 IBUs and hopped with Magnum, Centennial, and Cascade, with a Centennial dry-hopping as well. Pours a nice amber with a glow amnd a fairly short head. Definite rye note in the nose, with a light spicy crispness, but not so much rye that you get those dark chocolate flavors. Nice herbal and earthy hop profile with some definite pine in the mix and a bit less citrus peel. Very smooth in the mouth, with a hop mix that creeps up on you and becomes bitter in the end with a nice spicy note as well.

Knickerbocker Red

It poured a cloudy brown. Nice cream colored head with moderate lacing. The smell was dominated by malts. Nice mouthfeel with a combination of sweet malts with a very slight hoppy finish.

Oaked Pinstripe Stout
The Pinstripe that has aged in an oak cask.

Pinstripe Stout
This beer is opaquely dark with a coffee and burnt malt taste. Smooth and not as heavy as a Guinness with a slightly bitter after taste. A taste that grows on you and gets better with each sip. Outstanding aroma that makes you want to sniff as you drink.

Big Al Beers

Big Hoppa IPA

Slightly cloudy orange in colour thin off white head... taste/smell is very nice fruity citrus hop bite, with a little sweetness at the end.

Irish Red

Poured a deep mahogany with a tinge of red on the edges. Poured with a 1/4inch of quickly dissipating head that left a minimum of lacing. A sweet aroma, spiced with a hint of hop. The flavor was solidly malt focused with just a nicely complementary hop finish. The body was full and smooth, pleasing and easy.

Hop Villian Black IPA

A murky dark brown served in a pint glass with a thin off white head. The nose is very much like a stout with a roasted malt and coffee style. The taste is very much coffee and only slightly bitter. The mouthfeel is silky smooth with low carbonation and a soft bitter finish.

Tutta Bella Amber Ale

Poured a nice amber color as expected. Poured with a little less than an inch of light tan head, that had little retention and left moderate lacing. The aromas were the typical malt ones with a nice hop spice scent mixed in. The malt flavors dominated without being sweet and, as with the scent, a slight hop kick tingled the taste buds. Just a little shy of full bodied, this brew was very satisfying on the tongue.

Bell's Beer

Golden Rye

Pours a light yellow color w/ a thin white head in my snifter. Average lacing on the side of my glass. Nose is rye, malt, citrus, hops. Taste follows the nose profile w/ the rye a little more present. Feel is light, well carbonated and crisp.

Oberon

An American wheat ale made with European ingredients. Belgium wheat malt and Czech Saaz hops provide a spicy, fruity balance to this seasonal ale. (Formerly known as Solsun)

Two Hearted

India Pale Ale style well suited for Hemingway-esque trips to the Upper Peninsula. American malts and enormous hop additions give this beer a crisp finish and incredible floral hop aroma.

Wild One

Raspberry and Brett aromas, finishes tart, dry, and sour

Beer Engineers Beer

Velocity IPA

Peanut Butter Porter

The first in their "Southern Nut" series, this porter uses the flavors of peanuts to impart a nutty note on top of the malty backbone of a porter.

Chocolate Oatmeal Stout

Inspired by chocolate oatmeal cookies this stout dares to go into dessert's domain and teach it a thing or two about what makes life sweet.

Orange Ale

It’s traditional blonde ale with tons of orange flavor from the pulp, rind, and zest infused into the beer.

Bayou Teche Beers

Bier Pale Ale

Using Belgian malts and American hops and yeast, LA-31 Bière Pâle is a distinct new style of beer. Traditionally brewed, we classify it as a Bière Pâle, or Louisiana Pale Ale. It is bronze colored with a biscuity malt center, herbal hop flavors and a gentle, mellow bitterness. This beer is crafted to enhance the unique cuisine and lifestyle of South Louisiana.

Bierre Noire

We use specially roasted German malts and select American hops which provide our LA-31 Bière Noire a small bite of noble bitterness and a dry, French roasted coffee flavor. It goes great with grilled steaks, hamburgers, or sausage po-boys, any spicy blackened Cajun dish, or a dinner table surrounded by those you most cherish.

Boucanee

LA-31 Boucanèe is our acknowledgment of the importance of the wild cherry tree to south Louisiana. Using cherry-wood smoked wheat we craft a surprisingly delicious and unique ale. A cold glass of Boucanèe enhances the taste of many local dishes, whether smoked or not. At our brewery, we enjoy pairing it with chicken and sausage gumbo, barbeque, sausage po-boys, and grilled hamburgers. We can no longer even look at a link of boudin without instinctively opening a cold bottle.

Grenade

When they arrived in Acadiana, our French-speaking ancestors discovered the passion fruit growing here and named it grenade (pronounced grruh-nod). We still call it that today, the fruit’s juice has a refreshingly tropical, guava-like, sweet/tart flavor. Passionné is our wheat beer, which we brew to quench Acadiana’s warm weather thirsts. The ale is the color of a South Louisiana sun, and pours with the bright citrus flavor of passion fruit.

Frecklebelly IPA

This full-bodied India Pale Ale is loaded with fresh hops for a powerful blend of citrus, pine and fruit aromas. The firm malt backbone works well with the bold hop finish that everyone expects from an IPA.

This medium-bodied Porter is brewed with a unique blend of roasted malts and fresh hops. Chocolate, smoky notes are abundant throughout and the citrus aroma provides a refreshing twist to this old world beer style.

Naked Pig Pale Ale

Naked Pig is a delightfully crisp, hand crafted ale. The German malts provide a perfect balance to the five hop additions that go into every batch we make. This American pale ale is tasty enough for any craft beer newcomer, while the complex character is sure to please even the most discerning craft connoisseur.

Truck Stop Honey Brown (will also be on The J.Clyde Bier Engine)

Truck Stop Honey is a medium bodied English brown ale brewed with Alabama Wildflower Honey, roasted malts and fresh hops. The balance of sweet wildflower honey and earthy hop aromas come through in every batch.

Dark Saison

Kolsch

Light to medium in body with a very pale color, hop bitterness is medium to slightly assertive. A somewhat vinous (grape-y from malts) and dry flavor make up the rest.

Avondale Beers

Avondale Battlefield IPA

Battlefield is a special India Pale Ale that is as aggressive as it’s name: well-hopped and packed with rich maltiness. A stellar balance of crisp bitterness and floral aromas, achieved by a god-like blend of English and American hops. We like to think it puts a spin on what you know about IPAs. Try it with beef dishes or any grilled/blackened meats, shrimp or light fish, and for a snack pair with strong cheeses.

Streetcar Kolsch

Kölsch (also spelled Koelsch) is a local beer specialty that is brewed in Cologne, Germany. It is a clear beer with a bright, straw-yellow hue, and has a prominent, but not extreme, hoppiness. It is less bitter than the standard German pale lager. Kölsch is warm-fermented at a temperature around 13 to 21°C (55 to 70°F) and then cold-conditioned, or lagered.[1] This manner of fermentation links Kölsch with some other beer styles of central northern Europe, such as the Altbiers of northern Germany and the Netherlands. Kölsch is strictly defined by the Kölsch Konvention, an agreement between the members of the Cologne Brewery Association. It is a pale, highly attenuated, hoppy, clear, top-fermenting beer.

Miss Fancy’s Tripel

Miss Fancy?s Tripel is a strong Belgian golden ale. The term tripel is a style of beer that is meant to indicate strength of alcohol. This unique Belgian ale is rich in flavor and alcohol. The use of malts, traditional hops, a proprietary yeast blend and Belgian candi sugar in combination with our open fermentation process creates a very special beer named after a very special elephant. Miss Fancy?s Tripel is remarkably smooth and refreshing for such a high ABV beer. CAUTION! Miss Fancy?s Triple is brewed for humans but strong enough for elephants.

Strawberry Kolsch

Like the Kolsch but brewed with strawberries.

Brothel Brown

Mr. Todd's brown is a Belgian Brown Ale. This special dark ale is brewed with roasted malts to give it a roasted, nutty flavor and dark hues of deep mahogany. Our special Belgian yeast lends a slightly tart and fruity flavor that is balanced with a crisp finish. Just like Mr. Todd, this ale is deceptively good and an easy sipper.

Spring Street Saison

Spring Street Saison is a Belgian style farmhouse ale. The Saison is our flagship brew that helped spawn the formation of Avondale Brewing Co. Our Saison is brewed with our proprietary house yeast, a 4 malt blend, traditional Slovenian hops and open fermentation. Our unique brewing process along with the combination of the finest ingredients creates a thirst quenching brew with no equal. True to style this unfiltered ale has a coppery golden color and rich malty backbone that creates a unique farmhouse brew. Flavors burst with tropical fruit that combine with hints of spicy and peppery notes that are derived from our house yeast. One sip and you will fall in love. DOMINATES.

Avery Beers

Avery DuganA

Lupulin Rapture Incarnate! As fervent devotees of hops, we found ourselves on a quest to create a transcendental IPA capable of quenching our voracious lupulin desires. Our mantra became “unity of bitterness, hop flavor and aroma.” Enlightened, duganA IPA was born: A brutally bitter, dank, piney and resinous ale designed for those seeking a divine hop experience. Avery Hog HeavenThis dangerously drinkable garnet beauty is a hop lover’s delight. The intense dry-hop nose and the alcohol content are perfectly balanced for a caramel candy-like malt finish. This is a serious beer for serious beer afficionados and it only gets better with age. Cellarable for 3 years.

Avery IPA

In the 1700’s one crafty brewer discovered that a healthy dose of hops and an increased alcohol content perserved his ales during the long voyage to India (as depicted in our label) to quench the thirst of British troops. Today, we tip our hat to that historic innovation by brewing Colorado’s hoppiest pale ale. Avery IPA demands to be poured into your favorite glass to truly appreciate the citrusy, floral bouquet and the rich, malty finish. Brewed by hopheads for hopheads!

Avery Salvation

The success of HOG HEAVEN and THE REVEREND clearly demonstrates that beer drinkers are willing to embrace "BIGGER" beers. In the fall of 2001, we decided that a lighter BIG BEER would complement its darker colored predecessors. Salvation has luscious apricot and peach aromas delicately interwoven with spicy suggestions of nutmeg and cinnamon. This heavenly soft, champagne-like elixir is cellarable for 3 years.

Avery White Rascal

A truly authentic Belgian style wheat or "white" ale, this Rascal is unfiltered (yup, that’s yeast on the bottom) and cleverly spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel producing a refreshingly fruity thirst quencher.

Anderson Valley Beers

Anderson Valley Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout

With its deep, dark brown-black color, thick, full-bodied, velvety-smooth mouth feel, mocha character, and, strong yet subtle hop bite, Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout is one of the thickest, richest, and most complex stouts on the market today.

Anderson Valley Summer Solstice

Welcome to Summer Solstice! This deep golden wheat ale is a perfect warm weather beer. Its dazzling head, delicate tangy taste, and crisp clean finish make it a summer favorite, whether enjoyed straight or with a twist of lemon. It’s a slow lope’n a beeson tree. (It’s mellow and easygoing in Boontling*) *The local Anderson Valley dialect developed in the late 1800’s

Anchor Beers

Anchor Porter

With deep black color, a thick, creamy head, rich chocolate, toffee and coffee flavors, and full-bodied smoothness, a blend of specially roasted pale, caramel, chocolate, and black malts, along with top-fermenting yeast, creates complexity without bitterness. The brew is hopped at a high rate, and naturally carbonated. The result is dark in the glass, but surprisingly light on the palate.

Anchor Steam

Anchor Steam® Beer owes its deep amber color, thick, creamy head, and rich, distinctive flavor to a brewing process like none other. It is a process that combines deep respect for brewing tradition with many decades of evolution to arrive at a unique approach: a blend of pale and caramel malts, fermentation with lager yeast at warmer ale temperatures in shallow open-air fermenters, and gentle carbonation in our cellars through an all-natural process called kräusening. Anchor Steam® Beer derives its unusual name from the 19th century when “steam” was a nickname for beer brewed on the West Coast of America under primitive conditions and without ice. While the origin of the name remains shrouded in mystery, it likely relates to the original practice of fermenting the beer on San Francisco’s rooftops in a cool climate. In lieu of ice, the foggy night air naturally cooled the fermenting beer, creating steam off the warm open pans. Once a nickname for any West Coast beer brewed under these conditions, today the name “steam” is a trademark of Anchor Brewing and applies only to the singular process and taste of our flagship brand - San Francisco’s original Anchor Steam® Beer. The classic of American brewing tradition since 1896.

Anchor Summer

The crisp, clean flavors of Anchor Summer ® Beer are refreshingly light, a thirst-quenching American-style filtered wheat beer. Released each year in advance of the summer season, Anchor Summer ® Beer is an all-malt beer, with over 50% of its malt derived from malted wheat. It is fermented with a traditional top-fermenting "ale" yeast, yielding a clean, balanced flavor that highlights the refreshingly light flavor of malted wheat. The head is unusually abundant due to the natural protein deposits of wheat, with a thick consistency similar to meringue. First brewed in the summer of 1984, Anchor Summer ® Beer is the first American wheat beer in modern times. Anchor Summer ® Beer is intended to be a lighter beer for those who don’t want to sacrifice tradition or character.

Abita Beers

Abita Purple Haze

Purple Haze is a crisp, American style wheat beer with raspberry puree added after filtration. Therefore, you may see raspberry pulp in the beer. The raspberries provide the lager with a subtle purple coloration and haze, a fruity aroma, and a tartly sweet taste.
